Margaret Meredith

Margaret Meredith is an abstract mixed-media artist whose work explores the relationship between color, layering, and memory. Working with acrylic, collage, printed papers, pencil, and handmade marks, she builds and obscures her surfaces through an intuitive process of accumulation and veiling. Shapes and fragments emerge, disappear, and reconnect, reflecting the fluid and imperfect nature of memory.

Her current body of work includes Memory Landscapes, Memory Figures, and Memory Fragments—three interconnected series that move between atmosphere, the human form, and abstraction. Across the work, quiet fields of color hold layers of fragmented imagery, repeated marks, and partially buried information, creating paintings that reveal more as the viewer moves closer.

Meredith lives and works in Columbus, Georgia, with her husband and their two sons.
